Cool list additions

Things I'm adding to my cool list: (Note: these are not in any order of significance)

  • easyDNS: flexible and powerful tools to manage DNS. I like their site and their toolset is focused and useful.
  • Temple Isaiah Preschool: Aurelia just got in! She will be starting the Teddy Bear program next week. The Teddy Bear program is just an hour and a half a week, but having a spot in it guarantees us a spot in the preschool. The director is fantastic and the school is literally across the street from us. But more on that in another post.
  • Leah Collins: wow what a cute baby. Congrats again to Geoff and Annie.
  • BMW service plan: Recently my front left turn signal indicator went out. I took in the car to have them look at it. Diana was freaked because the light is apparently like $800 to buy the part. Since we're still under the service plan (50k miles or 4 years), there was no charge. Also, they washed the car. Not that a carwash is a big deal... it's just kinda nice (especially since it was one less trip I had to make).

Things I'm adding to my shit list:

  • Network Solutions: old fashioned site with limited toolset for dns support. They sell a lot of other stuff too, so they don't focus on core services too much.

All of the above are cool, but the BMW service plan is practically a necessity. My Dad's 3 series is falling apart, the stereo has been replaced 4 times. The sunroof has been repaired 3 times, and now ALL 4 window regulators are about to break for the SECOND time. The passenger side mirror also freaks out every once in a while. The is list is much longer, these are jsut the things I can think of off the top of my head. Mind you in a general sense the car is reliable and very safe (never been stuck somewhere in it), but the headaches aren't worth it. He'll probably trade it in on an Acura soon.
